Daybreak Board of Directors/Committee Application Form

For over 30 years, Daybreak Housing has provided minimum support housing to those in need of a caring, community-based environment that fosters personal growth and independence. With a staff complement of four, a growing and dedicated group of volunteers, and an active Board of Directors, Daybreak Housing is committed to continuing to achieve excellence in supportive housing in Ottawa.

The current board has realigned its strategic goals with a new mission and vision. An exciting future awaits Daybreak, and we are seeking experienced new board members to help us achieve our goals.

Ideal applicants will have experience and skills in one of more of the following areas:

  • Fundraising
  • Event Planning
  •  Law
  • Governance
  • Non-Profit Housing
  • Marketing
  • Homelessness
  • Administration
  • Outreach 

The term for the Board of Directors for Daybreak is two years and commences with the June Annual General Meeting (AGM). Directors will be expected to attend 8 board meetings and an AGM each year, join one or more committees, and attend up to four special events with residents.
